There is no more classic symbol of love, romance, and passion than the rose with its luxurious velvet petals, voluptuous blooms, and intoxicating scent. But for birders, these dozen roses – all birds with “rose” in their name – are even better! Which one makes you swoon? A dozen roses (I like yellow myself) and a bottle of good Champagne to you on Valentine’s Day.
Get weller.
I certainly like that Rose Bellied Bunting although I’ve never seen one. It looks like a bird whose feathers have been stitched on. As for birds I’ve seen and were awe struck, I’ll say Roseate Spoonbill. Amazing to see a flock of them near the causeway in Corpus Christi, TX.
