Puzzles are amazing activities that can actually help your birding skills, even when the weather, budgetary constraints, travel restrictions, health concerns, or other factors may keep you from the birding you want to do. Even better, a bird-themed puzzle can bring birds right to you and help you enjoy and learn about species you may never have the opportunity to see in person. This month, Be Your Own Birder is giving away a puzzle to help you enjoy an amazing hummingbird right in your home!

The Puzzle to Win
Up for grabs to a random winner (see entry instructions below) is an Audubon Hummingbird III puzzle from Buffalo Games, featuring a stunning male ruby-throated hummingbird and a backdrop of brilliant red flowers. The puzzle is 500 pieces and includes an 8.5×11″ image poster. When assembled, the puzzle measures 18×18 inches.

Please note: This prize puzzle has been previously opened and assembled by Be Your Own Birder one time, but was complete when packaged for shipping to the giveaway winner.

But There’s More!
In addition to the puzzle, the giveaway winner will also receive a cheerfully orange hummingbird Bling Swing, as well as the brief guide Enjoying Hummingbirds More, a special booklet publication from Bird Watcher’s Digest, with all sorts of fun hummingbird information and tips. One entry into this giveaway will win all three prizes!

1000 pieces
We usually go for 1,000 piece puzzles during a nice holiday break
Nothing less than 1000 pieces. Anything less is to easy.
I love the 500 pc puzzles. I did a 750 pc recently and liked it too. Then I tackled a 1,000 pc and I am pulling my hair out. Lol. I am almost finished with it and I don’t give up. .
One thousand is perfect for my husband and me to work on for a bit several nights in a row.
1000 piece puzzles are my favorite! Hummingbirds are some of my favorite birds too!
1,000, but I usually give up when there are that many pieces, so 500 sounds perfect!
Depends on my mood. Sometimes my brain needs 500. Other times I like 1000.
I prefer 500 pieces, because I get frustrated easily when it’s any more than that. 500 seems just right.
