Many schools and libraries promote summer reading programs to keep young readers engaged and excited about books while school is out. This month, our giveaway can help you get ahead with such a program, with a multi-book prize sure to excite young readers about birds!

The Books to Win
One lucky winner will receive not one, not two, but three bird-themed books (plus an extra bonus book!) to add to their personal birding bookshelf. First, there is Backyard Birding for Kids to introduce young readers to birding and help them get started identifying birds. Then, there’s a full day of exploration with GQ GQ. Where Are You? to learn about the Gambel’s quail and all the wildlife of the Sonoran Desert. Finally, young readers can tuck into bed with You Nest Here With Me, a sweet bedtime story about different bird nests. And there will be a bonus book in the prize package as well – another picture book about familiar wildlife young readers will enjoy! (Click the links above to learn more about each book in this prize giveaway.)

Robin ( in Montana)
Followed by the Western Meadowlark
No doubt a mourning dove at my grandparents’ house — Mona and Mischa are the pair who’ve “lived” there (eternally, it would seem) for as long as I can remember 🙂
Northern a Cardinal. I was five years old and I told my mother there was a cardinal in the yard. She said there’s no Cardinals in Brooklyn. I was right!
Seagulls (California) It’s kinda fun that they are here in Utah also.
Definitely the Robin.
The first bird I learned was a goldfinch only my mom called it a wild canary. She loved those bright yellow little birds.

My granddaughter would love these. I have been taking her with me on bird adventures. She loves it and she will say “oh grandma the birds are singing for me, they missed me”. 🤗
Blue Jay.
It was definitely a Robbin!
